How soon to copper bolus?

I have a very tiny doe going on 12 weeks, slow growing and had a hard time kicking out coccidiosis. She has a split tail which makes me think copper deficiency yet I've read it takes a long time to develop this. Would you bolus this kid?

If you do weight her first as its 22 lbs of goat to 1 gram of copper rods...I have done them that young before but if she has access to loose minerals it should be fine for a while. With her age she has a way to go before breeding .

My Nubian doeling did not start growing till the copper deficiency was corrected. Now she is a fine, healthy girl. I don't think it is too early to correct any deficiencies.

How deficient are the parents/is the parent herd? I have friends here that have bolused earlier than this and had great results.
