11 states in 24 days...home at last!

We just completed a marathon visit to 10 western states in 24 days...family, fun, and a week-long teacher workshop in Laramie, WY. Holy buckets, some of you folks live in the most beeeeeeyoooooteeful places on this planet. We did CA to OR to WA (SE WA is incredible-the Grand Coulis was astonishing) to ID to MT to WY to SD to MN to WY to CO to WY to UT to NV to home. I only wish I had not had my hubbie (as much as I love him) with me. Cause then I would have asked to visit goat farms, too! Home and time to get ready for yearly family camping trip, one more teacher workshop, senior fair week/junior fair week, then back to school for the year. It is soooooooooooo good to be home, back to the goatios and my own house.

We DID get a quick stop by and say hi to the Red White and Boer show in Ridgefield right before heading east. My hubbie would have STRANGLED me if I'd even made an inkling of a comment about bringing goats home. I fantasized constantly about stopping and visiting goat farms but that will have to be after I win the lottery and can just zip around in my special air-conditioned van and pick up goats and have time to build a custom breeding program, etc (Do you THINK that all that open prairie burnt my brain?) I am going to bed! Tomorrow I get to go out and grub giant thistle out of goat pasture...yippeee!
