When I arrived home from work and the goats didn't come out to see me I suspected something was wrong...when out to the barn and my 5 month old miniNubian had somehow gotten a 5 gallon bucket wrap around her with the handle. Like she was wearing it around her waist. I took hold of her and calmed her down while my husband went and got the fence cutters. Checked her out and she seems OK but scared the you-know-what out of all of us. The neat thing was that her companion, a fainter with a bad attitude, stayed with her. None of our buckets have metal handles now...

Goodness! I'm glad you found her when you did! Poor little girl, she was probably scared to bits.

I've had goats do that- and wear the bucket on their head too.

They run around like they are scared and get the others to run from them, then they stop and step out of the bucket and stand there laughing. LOL!

My goat scared me half to death one day. I was working outside up at the house and herd her hollering, which isn't normal for her. (My others are vocal, but she never talks.) So I rush down there expecting the worst...and her head had somehow gotten stuck between the gate and the barn wall.
