Wait over - Clementine had twins :)

I checked on Clementine (Ober/saanen/Nube bred to ND buck) on my way to work yesterday and she was in labor.

She had a doeling and a buckling. I think that we will keep the doeling as the only baby we retain this season.

Babies are doing fine, I've milked Mama out completely and she is nursing well, nice soft udder and fat, happy kids.

I'm surprised that they seem to have Nube ears when these babies are only 1/4. I hope they remain at least as airplane ears

The doeling is basically ober colored with some white markings. The boy is like a roaned ober with some big white splashes on him. Interesting coloring.

Our bottle baby doeling and this buckling are already sold to a pet home. The guy is getting the doeling this weekend.

I still have the Nigerian bucklings for sale and will have them whethered soon.

We will probably keep this doeling as the Mama is a great milker and the Dad is from milky lines.

Congrats! Are the bucklings you have up for sale registrable Nigerians? I may be in the market for an additional herd sire.
