Evening out an udder

I have a girl about 4 weeks fresh.
She had twins and her udder is lovely. One of the kids went as a bottle baby and I have been milking her twice per day and leaving the single baby with her for the day and seperating them at night.

I notice now that she is slightly lopsided.
If I milk the smaller side more often will it correct?
Here is her picture - I milk from the left side of the goat and that side is always a bit larger than the right. This is her first freshening.

Thank you!

PS I have pulled the other baby starting today. Is the larger side the one the baby favored or is it the other way around?

its the other way around. If you are lucky it will correct by leaving a bit of milk in the smaller side
The un-even udder thing is why I bottle feed
If bottle feeding does not work for you you can put the doe on the stand twice a day and let the kids nurse on her from the stand.
Hope it goes well with you!

So if you have 1 kid nursing then you would milk the side the kid is not using to keep the udder even, Correct?

Suzie a FF had a single buckling. On the second day I realized that he'd only drink from her left teat. The right one quickly swelled huge and so did its lobe. It scared me as I was thinking mastitis. That evening I milked her out completely on both sides. I watched him. He seemed to like the small teat and so I’d force him to the other one. He clearly didn’t want it.

I sold him at 2 weeks and began milking twice a day. Neither her lobes nor her teats are symmetrical. It made me wish that I had forced the little guy to drink from only her right teat so that the left would perhaps swell to match the huge, beautiful, easy-to-grasp, large-orifice and seemingly perfect teat...

Mentor believes that it'll all normalize next freshening. I plan to intervene and start the next kid(s) only on her nice teat and see if the smaller one swells. hehehe

Just milk twice a day when they have kids on them and you should be ok. I've never had a problem.

Dairy goats produce MUCH more milk than what their kids need. Always milk 2x per day, no matter if you're dam-raising or not.

Yes, just milk out both sides twice daily and you will have a better chance at evening it out.

If you keep the kids off her for part of the night, do you see an even udder in the morning?

not totally even - but there is plenty of milk in the smaller side - I would say only about 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup less than the full side.
I will keep the kid away - milk three time per day for a few days in efforts to bring production up and then let her go 12 hours with out milking and see if they even out - I will post an "after" picture so you can see if it worked.

yep, it will stabilize and even out better if you milk them out all the way twice a day.
