It's a ....

Little girl!!!! She was born just before I got to the born this morning!!!!

How long between kids if she has more than 1? Daisy has the sac still hanging and has expelled what looks like a small bag of waters. I know not to pull but when should I start to worry? I'm not sure if she is done yet, we still see her pushing a bit.

I trimmed and iodined the cord which was dragging on the ground. Selium is taken care of, She got up right away and I've seen her nurse several times now. I check to make sure the teats were flowing which they are. Anything else I need to do other than take pictures????

That sac is a normal sounding thing, its typically the placenta trying to come out. you can "bounce" her to see if you can feel anymore, its an aquired skill but if you poke around on the outside you can feel if shes blobby or firm.

Well, any more? :baby04:

My does generally squat like they're trying to urinate when they pass the placenta - a quite different type of pushing from trying to birth a kid. If there's another kid coming, it will usually come within 10-15 minutes of the first one, unless there's a problem.

I've had does go a little over an hour between kids without any problems. Most likely, though, if you're seeing a sack of waters hanging down by her hocks, she's done.

Well she was done and all is well. Mom and baby are doing well. I am disappointed there was only one but being a doe makes up for being a single.I took a few pictures and will post them later on with a proper introduction.
