What do you all do with the CD & T leftover?

On the CD & T bottle it always says to use all the medicine once opened.
If you don't use it all that time do you save it for your 3 week booster shots on your goats or throw it away & start with a new bottle?

I wonder if all the refrigerated med's say that same thing. I would assume it's safe to use till the date. Seems like a waste to throw it away.

Vaccines are much touchier than the average refrigerated meds. If they get warm at all, they are no good. Thats why there is a no return policy on vaccines.
I buy the small bottles, use them for one booster, then throw out the little bit that is left.
I also take it out in an insulated cup-holder with ice while I am using it.
Its slightly more expensive to buy it in small bottles, but its cheaper than having to throw out half the big bottles.

When I buy my vaccines, our store supplies gel packs for free and I take one for the trip home to keep the vaccine cool.
At home I put it in the fridge and I fill syringes right from the fridge.
I let the individual syringes warm up a little before I give it to the critters but the bottle never gets a chance to get warm so there is no reason to waste.

Good idea River pines, I hate to waste it. I'm going to try that next time especially if they don't have the small bottle's since sometimes they only have the 25 goat dose size left & I don't have that many.
I like the prefilled syringes idea, Thanks!

I buy the large syringe and load at the house and just change the needle for each shot.

I don't want it to get warm until *after* it is in the goats body. So I keep it on ice and draw it up as I need it.

I was just wondering cause the bottles always say like use all after opening & the 1 bottle I had was a 25 dose bottle, that's the only size TSC had at the time so anyways I only have 10 goats so I wasn't sure so I threw it away.

If I load the syringes ahead of time, I can keep them ready to go with a date in a lock & lock container right in my fridge till time & then I don't have to worry about throwing the rest away either.

Normally I usually only have 5 to 6 goats when we don't have any babies & I only have 1 more to sell this year so I don't need alot of the Cd & T all the time anyways.
