how to remove ear tags

The little sick doeling seems to be bothered by her ear tag, its been in there a while and healed but shes constantly twitching that ear, its not needed anymore so how can i remove it?

I just used a hoof clipper to remove Gretta's plastic one....

If you're careful, a utility knife works well. That's what I used on my calf.

I have never put one it, I thought they had a metal stop from one end to the other but if its that simple yall made my day.
I dont like them much, Ive seen too many pretty goat ears split because of them.

deed is done, dog toe nail clippers work great!
sadly its not what was making her ear twitch

She may just need to get used to it not being there. Give her a little time. My calf flicked his ears for a couple days after I removed his tags
