Milking Question

Without going into the gory details, there is a LOT of friction between DH and I. His parents are coming for a visit next weekend and I'm not looking forward to it at all. I've been thinking that I may have to go stay with my mom. She just had surgery a few weeks ago and I stayed with her during her recovery. I would come home and milk our goat though each day/night. If I go stay with her again I DON'T want to come home. It would be for 2 1/2 days more than likely. Would this cause my doe to dry up or would I be able to start milking her again? I guess I could come in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep and milk her LOL.

Your doe would be very very uncomfortable if she did not get milked for 2 days.

it would not cause your doe to dry up, just the opposite, she would become engorged and run the risk of infection and other problems...the goat really should be milked on a regular basis like she is used to..

Thanks for the replies. That's what I expected to hear, but not what I wanted to hear.
