Poor Libby
Penny is now 3mths old so last night she spent her first night away from Mom (Libby) My plan was to wean her and milk Libby. Libby has little tiny teats and is a kicker. This morning poor Libby looked like a blown up surgical glove. If you have ever done this you know what I mean. I milked her the best I could then let Penny back with her. Between the 2 girls and what Libby made me spill it was about 4 qts and Libby still had a full udder. Need to get another pail...
I know people keep the kid away at night and milk in morning... is there any reason you couldn't do the opposite- take the kid off during the day and milk at night? Libby is a fight to milk, when she thinks she is done then she starts kicking and jumping around. Even with her back legs tied, se still tries.I don't have the time in morning to fight with her and make her behave.
