Using a dog run for goats

Does anyone use a dog run for their goats? Would you recommend it, or not?

Thanks

Well, you don't say how big of a dog run you might use. I'd think you'd need a lot more space for happy goats if that's to be their permanent home.

On the other hand, I use a chain link dog pen (10' x 10') for nighttime lockup for the young ones. However, this is inside their shelter, which opens onto a fenced pasture of several acres.

Heck, this probably wasn't very helpful . . .

No, not as a permanent home, but to keep them from running away as they are browsing.

Maybe a chain link fence for outside time would be best. Only I'd have to cut down the browse for them I guess

Never done it, but a friend suggested using cattle or hog panels. Clip em together, put goats in, let goats browse themselves.
Move panels to a different spot when they get the job done.

do you mean a zip line type dog run? If so no way.

I do use the cattle panels and use clips, move them around as needed.

I keep my nigerians in chain link panels because I am afraid a dog will get them in anything shorter.

I keep mine in 6 ft. dog kennels but I have around 20 panels and made a pretty good size area for them. I can not let my boys out to browse unless I am right there because we have a lot of loose dogs around. So twice a day I take a break and go out and let them browse. If they get scared they run right to mama. (me) LOL
