Tick control

Has anybody used, or know anuthing about, tick collars for dogs with Amitraz on goats? I know that Amitraz is OK as a spray, but I was wondering about the collars.
Or, how about cattle insecticide ear tags? Any experience?
Thanks!

I've noticed that ticks don't seem to like my goats. I can easily pick a dozen ticks off me and a couple dozen off my dog when they are thick at the farm but I rarely find a tick on the goats and I've never found a full one.

Too bad I can't say the same about mosquitoes.

ticks LOVE my buck. They totally infest him esp his private areas and inside of legs., I don't find many on my does. I use a spray i got from the feedstore but when that is gone I am using frontline plus.

Same with me...on the dogs, in my hair, in the bed, crawling up the wall...but ZERO on the goats or horses

I'd be careful - I had a one on a cat once - he had 2 permanent hairless spots on his shoulders from the collar - and that collar was designed for and "safe" for cats.
