Natural vs. Ivermectin for mites

So my mite saga continues.

My quad babies are now fine. They were treated twice with 1/2 cc of Ivermectin injectable (given orally). One buck's neck still is growing hair back, but they're healing. The Mom had only a few spots then so I just dusted the pen and her a few times with Sevin powder and put some DE down. That was a few weeks ago.

A few days ago I notices a couple of new scabs on Mom so I dusted her again. Now today there are a bunch of new areas and she is scratching like crazy. I also noticed my other two adult does scratching, although I don't feel anything on them (yet).

I was trying to go the natural route with the milkers, but I am afraid it's not enough. I saw what the mites did to my babies and it wasn't pretty.

If I use Ivermectin on the milkers, what is the withdrawl? Online it says 36 days or some crazy thing. I know others don't do that. If you were drinking the milk (and your kids) what withdrawl time would you use? Is there anything as effective as Ivermectin for mites that is less toxic?

I have used cydentic and use it as ORALLY. It did work for mites. It did make it go away and made the hair come back. I like to use cydentic if my goats is in milk. That is me. U know..

Are cylence and cydentic the same thing--only one is oral and one is topical?

I use the Ivomec cattle Pour on as a pour on. It works very well. Just one treatment. I figure using Ivomec this way you should be fine as far as the milk is concerned. Ivomec is prescribed for people.

Here is the other thing... Treat all your goats. If one has mites they all will.
Clean and disinfect their stalls, barn, feed areas. Remove all bedding, manure, old feed, everything. Wash down the surfaces with a mixture of hot lime and water(1 cup to 1 gallon of water). Then fog the place with your seven dust. You don't say where your located but generally mites are a "barn" disease. Meaning that it is caused by and flourishes under cramped barn conditions. If they are on pasture move them to a different one for a few weeks if possible. So once again, get your goats areas cleaned up and they will generally go away.

P.S. Hot lime is calcium oxide and is called caustic lime or quick lime. You will find it at the building supply. It isn't Lawn lime, Lawn lime is ground limestone. Be careful when mixing or touching the lime it can cause chemical burns.

I'm sure I just bought the wrong thing.

I was looking for Cydectin, but I see that's not what you guys were talking about. I read it on another thread about worms and assumed it was the same thing as Cylence.

All my coop had was Quest paste plus (which is like Cydectin), but I don't think that will work for mites. Correct?
