First Case of mastitis

One of our milk goats was acting different yesterday morning. The night before they had gotten into some high percentage feed and so I just thought that she had stomach problems.

Last night when my friend, Deb, came to milk she found it to be mastitis. We really thought we were going to loose her this morning. She talked to the vet and then got some meds and we treated her and now she has been up and around more. We are hoping we don't loose her. Of course.

I've never heard of mastitis being lethal. Can that happen with some virulent bacteria?

Hope someone with more experience that I have posts on this.

Edited to add:
Here's an article I found. I sure learned something today. Hope your goat is better!
