weird milk texture...

I have been pastuerizing my milk and just barely tasted it for myself today. My kids aren't wanting to drink it and it isn't because they know it's goats milk, they don't really care about that...milk is milk to them. Well, the thing is that I tried it and...well...yuck!! I am not joking! It has the weirdest texture to it. Thick with like little tiny beady stuff to it. What the heck?! I don't understand this. I had a holstein before and drank her milk all day long and never had this sort of problem. What would this be?? Are we really gonna get sick if I don't pastuerize? I never pastuerized my cows milk but then she had been tested for brucelosis and all that. What can we catch from my goats by drinking their milk raw? I won't personally drink it raw yet because I am pregnant, but will my kids be okay?

Well I dont pasturize mine and we are fine...What type of goat do you have, that sometimes makes a difference.
Does it taste salty? What is she eating that has alot to do with the taste also. Not sure about but she might have some type of infection and not showing signs. Not really sure.
How long has she been fresh? I would get it tested just to be sure what your dealing with.

I have scalded and boiled milk without that problem. Hmmm.

I drink milk raw all the time. You can have testing done on your goats. I like to freeze my milk and drink the oldest first, that way on the very off chance if a goat was getting sick with lysteria, it would have shown the sickness by the time we drink the milk.

She has been fresh a week and a half...would colostrum cause the grainy texture??? She gets pure alfalfa bales and 4 cups dairy grain a day....nothing weird to graze or anything. I think that she is an alpine. No testing can be done due to where I live, that is why she's never been tested.
