blood in baby stool
This baby was born on Monday. Her brother was stuck and had to be pulled. Mom was stressed and tired so I pulled baby girl out. Both were eating and doing fine.
Baby girl was stuck in some electic fence tape but the charger had been hit by lightning and wasn't working. I did notice some blood on her vigana and it being really red so I put some neosporin on thinking she scratched it on the rusty chicken wire. I asked if she should get tetanus shot in another post. Looking at it this morning, it looked irratated because Mom keeps cleaning it, not scratched at all.
Baby girl didn't look as bouncy this afternoon and when she pooped, there was a little blood in the stool. The stool was mustard colored and almost pellets, not loose or watery.
Temp was 103.
Didn't see her nurse but her tummy seems nice and full.
Could the blood have been left over in her system from being born or is there something else in the works going on?
Update: She is bouncing and looking around. Must have just awaken from a nap when I first checked. Temp still same.
