Of course she went into labor just as I was thinking about going to bed.... and of course she made it look like it was gonna be soon! But she had the first one around 4 this morning, I think. I "slept" in the hay bunk (haha, not as comfortable as a "bunk bed", or any bed for that matter....), with goats trying to remove my earrings.
She probably would have been faster, except the first one, a buck, was breech with his hocks being the first part out. We had to push him back to straighten him.... good thing she's roomy!
But the next one came fast, a pretty little girl! Yes!
The third one, a big buckaroo, came a while later. Scared the bejeezus out of me when I first saw his face..... he's, er...
special looking, to put it delicately. This doe is known here for having a few completely normal-looking kids, along with one ridiculously homely one. Every. Single. Year.
This boy she had was born with largish ears flat to his head at the time, a big broad head, and a big dopey nose.

He was screaming like a Nubian, too. I told him he was not a Nubian, he was a quiet Saanen, but he didnt believe me.
Luckily, these ugly (how could a goat be ugly?!?) kids are always completely normal besides their silly faces. heehee!
So, babies and momma are doing well. This is my only kidding thread this year, as this is the only doe due.
HERE THEY ARE!!!!!!!
Here the little dope.... He looked more and more normal as he dried and walked around, but he's still easy to tell apart from his siblings.

I couldnt really capture his looks in the picture well. We'll see how he matures, sometimes they grow out of their dopeyness. I kinda hope not, though. I think they are CUTE!
