Update on sick baby and a question

The bloat or blockage or whatever it was seems to have passed:banana02:
Shes eating and yelling and back to being a pain in the ummmmmm.. i mean a regular baby goat, lol.
But in the process of getting electrolytes etc down her, obviously i got something into the wrong pipe. Now she has cough and sneezes and soujnds 'wet'. I gave her 3.5 cc of LA 200 yesterday. Should I keep up with the antibiotics to stave off pneumonia or just let it pass? Shes about 7 weeks old and 25 lbs.

I would give the antibiotics for at least 5 days...this way you know you got it all. This is what I do when they are medicated...

pneumonia is a serious risk when any baby aspirates fluid - I'd keep up with the antibiotics particularly as you've already started them ...

Never give antibiotics only once. It takes several doses to do any good. Besides, by giving one dose and allowing the bug to multiply you risk developing a tolerance to that particular antibiotic.
