Scours?

Our twin kids came down with a bout of scours yesterday. They had yellow-ish diarrhea that their mom would clean off of them (she's so good!). Luckily the vet came today and gave them each a shot that is supposed to clear it up. He also gave everyone else a clean bill of health! My question is, what caused this bout of scours and how do we prevent it in the future? Is it what their mom was eating? Or is it from drinking too much milk? Thanks for any help.

How old are they? Have they had their shots? Did mom have her booster shots of CDT before they were born?

Are they old enough to treat for Cocci? We start at three weeks.
