It may be the pictures...but her cute head looks big in proportion to her body. Is she nursing the baby? They are both really cute If you increase her food make sure to do it slowly. Lots of good grass hay would be good for her...don't hold back on that.

Yes..you can worm while she is nursing. If she was an abandoned goat that just had a baby she probably REALLY needs it asap. Find out what kind of wormer works in your area. I use ivermectin injectable given orally 1cc per 25 lbs. So a 100lb goat would get 4cc. You can get it from the vet if you don't want to buy a whole bottle. That's what I do because I only have 3 mini goats...I buy it in the syringe (without needle) and squirt it down their throat

Yes, she is skinny. She is emaciated. You might get mad, but I'm beign honest and telling you to your face, which is not what other people who will see her in person will do. Better to hear it here than from animal control or some such.

She really needs grain and hay.

Well Thank you for your input.. But I guess i need to explain the whole story before people like you think i am a bad person.. 2 weeks ago i got a knock on my door it was a man who bought a bunch of land and there were a few old broken down houses on it he said he had been feeding a goat bread and then for 4 days he had seen a baby goat and he didn;t know what to do so he ask around if anyone had lost a goat who was preg he got a no but was told about me .. well when he ask me to go look at this doe i was told she look bad and the kid did also . so i went over the doe had still had her afterbirth hanging and was dry up and the right side of her teat was hanging to the ground all cut up and was bleeding from the outside and inside and was hard as a rock .. the kid was freezing and had dry up blood on her so i loaded them up and they are here i called in my vet they both were given the care they needed along with love i spent many nights up with them both it was a touch in go for a few days ,, well now they are both doing good and as for the doe she may be skinny but she was on deaths bed when i found her she is getting hay and grain and what ever she needs i am not cruel i know how to care for animals thats one thing i do i also take in sick ones and nurse them back to health ,, this isn't what she looks like i was asking if anyone knew what kind of breed she was i forgot to ask the vet if i knew people like you were gonna jump the gun and make comments on how skinny she was i wont have even ask. i have spent alot of money on her and her kid. moneys not the issue. its the care she was giving and knowing everything i have done save her and her kid .. so if anything maybe i should be told you have a heart of gold instead of sounded like i'm a cruel person the person who is cruel is the person who left her behind i have ask every person i know and more even animal control if anyone has called on a missin goat there is a ad out for her and after 30 days if no one claims her she will be mine but as animal control says with the way she was left i can fight it which i most likey will why should they have her .. the guy told me the people who sold him the land and trailer all long gone .. so thats the kind of person i am .. So thank you for posting but as for the breed i dont need anyones help i will find out on my own .. sorry for asking .. I shouldn't have to write a book to ask a question thats not fair..
