Need help! ASAP

Okay my goat has been having problems gaining weight but she's been eating fine. Well last night she didn't eat anything, and this morning she is panting seeming to be having a hard time breathing and there's some white filmy stuff in her mouth. I'll go back out and get her temp.

Check the membrane around her eyes. What color is it?

Edited to ad...

If the membranes are white, you have an anemia problem, very likely caused by worms. Check on Fiaso Farm's website for treatment. http://fiascofarm.com/

Thanks. She's gone, she died in my arms at the vet. I miss her so much already.

The vet is going to do a fecal and an autopsy. They'll let me know.

I'm sorry Twilite. Please let us know what the vet finds. It might help some others here on the board.

Again, I'm sorry you lost your girl.

Thank you all. The vet just called and told me it was coccidia and had me come pick up some medication to treat the rest of my herd with.

there must have been something else going on. coccidia was only the result of her lower immune response. adult goats should not die because of coccidiosis.
sorry you lost your doe

Wouldn't she have had real runny poops for awhile I have never heard of a goat dying so quickly from coccidia.
