Coccidia?
Tis the season eh? I've never done a prevention but after having some problems last year and a few more this year, I'm going to start using corid and see if it will work well for me. On what aged kids do most start using this?
I'm having some problems with some bottle babies I bought, they are now about 6-7 weeks old. About 2 weeks ago I noticed they had some runny droppings, so I did a fecal check and sure enough quite a few coccidia in there. Well, first I tried an herbal wormer, because it had work very well for my own kids before. But after treatment they still had the runs, so I moved onto Albon. I dosed at 1 ml per 5#'s for the first day, and then at 1 ml per 10#'s for days 2-5. On day 5 I put them on new pasture hoping it will help, but they still have runny droppings. Can I continue the Albon? Or give at a stronger dose? Everyone I talked with seem to think the Albon would wipe it out without a problem, I've never used it before myself. I'm pulling another fecal tomorrow to make sure this is still the problem. Any ideas? Suggestions?
~Thanks
