Will they get along
So hanging around here has made me want to get a doe or two. I have six wethers now. Here is the situation. We have friends that breed fainting goats and they have a two year old doe. I don't think she has had kids but I could be wrong. I love this doe. I have known her since she was born and she is just the sweetest goat ever. She is also very shy, not the sharpest tool in the box and extremely myotonic. My concern is that being so shy and sweet my boys will pick on her. I know that goats are matriarchal but I’m not sure she has what it takes to be a queen. She faints if you look at her to hard. I would love to have her but I also want to make sure that I can provide a safe place for her. None of our boys are aggressive but they do what goats do. They push the smaller ones out of the way at feeding time and play head butt. Feeding time is kind of funny because our two smallest goats are fainters and when the food comes out they get excited and faint. Then they try to get into the hay and get pushed out of the way and faint and so on. Always a great show.
