Triplets....Again!!

2 days, 2 birthings, 2 sets of triplets. Mom's and babies doing fine. Each of the momma's went into one of the goat sheds on their own and started making little nests. Then just started having kids. The first one scared me a little bit...see "quick reply thread" then all went well. I had just mentioned to DW that "Queenie"s teat really looked swollen. No more than got it out of my mouth when she started to have a contraction.

Congratulations!

In a book I have on livestock dated 1894, it has a section on goats. It discusses how the number of offspring a goat has in one season is tied directly to the high nutrition the goat is getting. I can't confirm this, but it seems likely to me. Deer are the same way.
