Buttercup, the dirigible, landed! Quads on board

My brother, working at the house, called me at 2 p.m. today to let me know that Buttercup was kidding. My princiPAL let me skip the staff meeting and leave school at the bell. When I got home, my brother was holding up four fingers! I am on my way out to the barn to dip cords, dry babies and do a gender check. Yippee! And on my sister Alice's birthday. Somewhere in eastern South Dakota, a woman has a goat named after her now.

How many teats does Buttercup have? One of my FFs has two teats and quaded..she's a good mom but one of the bucklings (all she had) isnt getting enough so he gets a couple bottles to help him out.

Can you believe it? 4 BUCKS! Eek! We are going to sell one or two so that she can feed them adequately. Anyone out there want a fullblood boer buckling from stellar lines? $50 will get someone some great bloodlines inexpensively! Anyhow, mom is feeding them all and looking a bit relieved.

Ha! I've got TarznPipes in their dam's line.! The sire of these bad boys is out of Becky Creighton's herd. Their grandsire is Quick Trick and 2 of the boys are burleymen. I am not going to disbud any of them as they're going to freezer camp but I'd hate to disbud and then decide one was absolutely marvelous! I think all the 4-Hers have gotten their project wethers for the year so I'm not in any rush to burn or cut. We'll have a definite bull pen in a few months if all goes well.

Jcran, how about naming one Alice Cooper? He's a guy. Your sister might not appreciate that though.
