Can they go out in the snow?
The goats have been tucked into the barn now for the last two days while the wind howled and a foot of snow fell. (Stop rolling your eyes, northern people. This is a Big Deal for us, LOL). Today is much better, with sun and 27° temps.
It was 9° last night and we're expecting similar record lows tonight. I'd love to let the boys out in their field, but I'm worried about them getting snowy and wet. Can I let them out and towel them down afterwards? It being so cold tonight I don't want to risk anybody getting sick. Better that they stay in the barn being bored. Your thoughts?
