Ok..2 kids..now what

Yes I read the sticky on new born care....

Being a nervous nelly with first kids...The kids can't seem to find the teat....further more mama doesn't seem all that interested in anyone or anything touching her there....

Now I did get my little buck to find it a few times and suckle a little... Little doe...can't find it.... I milked some out and then used a 10CC syringe(from my 2 year old needed medicine)...put my pinky in her mouth and squirted milk in from side....that went well...she suckled and got some milk in her....

All in all the buck looks better than the doe...more active...just looks better...

Should I just let nature do it's thing and figure they will find the tit and do their thing?

This is a 50/50 nubian boer mother on her 3rd kidding....

You may have to hold the doe and force her to allow the kids to nurse. Guide the babies to the teat but don't force them to take it. This is counter productive. When you get the kid up there milk mama out a but by squirting the milk to the mouth of the baby. Usually a taste will get them searching for the supply. Keep working with mama and babies so she will learn to raise them. Otherwise you will have to bottle raise and that is a WHOLE LOTTA WORK. There are many web pages you can search for that show and tell how to get reluctant mamas to take care of their babies.
