Clementine has arrived!
We have four on the floor! New hooves, that is! Maddie kidded this afternoon on day 147—I have missed the last two kiddings and was thrilled to be on hand for this one. Single doeling, medium brown with a black stripe down her back like her sire. Alert, nursing, and all is well. We named her Clementine—even though, as my 10 year old daughter/goat helper extraordinaire pointed out, the doeling is neither round nor orange. (nor is she the daughter of a miner forty-niner but that point is lost on a child of her generation…no matter how hard I try!)
Still have two to go—one FF so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Pics will follow once I get things under control! :banana02:
