new goats

Well we decided that we needed to rethink what we wanted on our little place, the Nigerian dwarfs are not producing enough milk for what we want. So we decided to venture into the big goats. We found 2 nubians that are bred and brought them home. The biggest one is Marie, she is 2, the little one is Anne and she is only 8-10 months. Both are very gentle, lead well, and are friendly, Anne is a little more shy but she will come around.

Very nice. Has Marie freshened before? It looks like they'll be climbing into your pockets in no time!

Yes Marie freshened with twins last year. They are very sweet, Marie has to be right next to me when I go out. Anne will let me pet her but is still a little nervous. They are not sure about the little goats, they don't get too close to each other.
