:nana: I fall for it everytime

When will I ever learn!? They pull old straw trick at least a couple times every year. Its too cold to leave the hose on so I run to the house no time to take off barn boots, I'm so fast the that muck doesnt melt all over the bathroom floor, fill buckets and the brain is on full tilt...ok grab her water bucket dump one in the main tub bring hers into her stall & throw straw in there.
And she's just standing around chewing cud.

It is day 150, we have a little white discharge in a few of them, The Blimp is laying around groaning even louder when I go out there and making a huge production out of getting up at grain time.

thanks guys...sorry I dont know how to do picture picture...they are pretty normal looking Boer babies.
We lost one...he never did really tyr to get up after much massage and I mean aggressively & swinging him around. His breathing was clear.
the other two are just great & one is M Valentino he wobbled over to me & checked me out. Im ok with the loss.
This doe had a pretty full shiny udder yesterday & a little white discharge but sometimes I dont know for sure till they jump into action unless I sees the amber string.

update

So far about half the crew has had me running since yesterday?? The buck must have never slept!
I think 3 of them went just today...at least its written down enyhow Miss B started it all off this am, then her sister then I went to another bldg to check on an FF with her sister who popped last nite.
So far all blessedly uneventful events!! After Topline finished with trips I came in to the house for a minute, I had put her sister's 2boys in a box cause they wanted to help.
Get back down there with iodine and there were four. Sure hope she can take care of them all she only has two faucets.

Caribou I just might take you up on that! I dont think she has nursed those boys much...I go out there they attack me..Mommy mommy we're HUNGRY make her do her job!!
sorry guys my brain is scrambled Ive never had all these birthings all in such a short period of time all by myself. I dont have a clue how you folks with large herd do it my hat's off to you!!
Our line here is "How does Leslie do it!?", My mentor/friend of Leaning Tree Boer Goats.
Dh finally got home we got mom's colostrum down them.
The buckling we lost last nite from another FF never did show any reasonable attempt at getting up. His lungs were clear he got his BoSe somemagic mix lots of aggressive massages he went sometime after midnight I knew he wouldnt make it.
Today a friend reminded me of B complex I had totally forgotten about it.

I met Leslie at a show where I was picking up a buckling I'd won in a raffle at the RED WHITE and BOER show a few years back. She had TarznPipes and I ended up buying a buckling out of TnP...she had just driven 10 hours after delivering Nubian babies all night. I think she's an alien; no human could pull those hours You are lucky to live near all those GORGEOUS boers. I drool!

Joan, when we first were looking for Boers hers was the only website we could find & she is a good 4hrs away. The local fair never advertised Boer Goat shows and still dont. Arrg. Somebody might have made a little money.
But when I met Leslie I knew she was the one to do business with.
First off she had more questions for me than I could think of for her. She has taught me a graet deal of what I know thus far via emails etc.
Especially in the first couple yrs.
When I first met her she had a Nubian in a makeshift wheelchair whos rear legs were unusable. This little girl was still around last time I was there....in a large plasic crate in the house.
Gotta go check on The Blimp ( Nubian from Leslie) again.

Just when I think there's time to relax...

At least I had most of lunch when Lela catches my eye. Last year this FF was eating at the hay feeder one minute and down the next.
One beautiful long doeling.

Anyone who lives near or far there will be lots of kids ready to go around the first of May. Meat pets or breeding, even a few show prospects! pm for details thanks!
