Winter Wonderland- baby with bad luck

Winter Wonderland- baby with bad luck - Goats

We live in KY and the night of the horrible ice storm this baby was born. she has a little male twin. she was tiny and the mother refused her so she is now a house goat spoiled rotten and goes EVERYWHERE with me. I took her out to the barn yesturday and she refuses to admit she is a goat lol. she is slowly fitting in and as soon as weather permits she will be back at home with her own kind

I find that very hard to believe, lol. She looks so comfy and at home. you should just house break her and call it a job! very sweet.

What kind is she? That shot is priceless!!! I have to agree with beccachow though. This is NOT going to be a goat that will live in the barn willingly. You have done it now. Just admit it and accept it for what it is. LOL

she is a African Pygmy... her name is Lucy. it seems the others in the herd decided to all use the ice storm to their birthing benefit also ha! we have had 3 boer goats born and a total of 5 pygmys born within 2 weeks!!!!! one set of boer twins and a single boer. a set of twin pygmys and 3 single babies. all are doing great! When Lucy and her twin were born she was smaller than him by a considerable amount but not a concerning amount. I stood them side by side yesturday and she is now almost an inch taller than him! and much more filled out! The concoction I made for formula has worked wonderful!

She is awfully cute but I also Love my Pygmies & Nigerians & as hard as it is to leave them in the barn sometimes I still do. A goat is a goat & I know you can house break them but I could still see them jumping on the furniture & tables & nibbling & chewing on anything & everything. Nope at my house only dogs in the house here.
