Unhappy This ones for me - bear with me

I could really use some prayer. I fell yesterday and damaged my knee. To what extent the doctors cannot tell due to the inflammation, but it may be the ACL or the Meniscus. I have to be off of it, ice packs, and Vicadin alternating with Ibuprofen. Please pray that it isn't serious, I have enough health issues and am still trying to breed my does before it gets too late. I have help for the chores but am going to go stir crazy doing nothing and am going to drive 23 year old son REALLY CRAZY doing things for me. Thanks in advance and hopefully will be back on here on Sunday.

My prayers are with you as well.

And just remind your son of when he was five and you could do NOTHING without hearing Mom? every 9 seconds from the next room. Or worse... silence......

Learn to knit (or something) while you're stuck on your hiney! But most of all really do take it easy. Knee issues are very tricksy - they feel healed long before they really are healed, then they get banged up again at the slightest provocation.

I feel for you. I do have to admit though that Vicadin is really nice. I'm glad I can't get it unless I need it or I could truly have a problem.

oh no!!! I'm sorry you fell. It's a good thing you didn't knock your head and teeth out too. Bummer. I'm sending you healing, happy vibes. A little craziness for the 23 year old is good...tell him to get used to it and it will only get worse

Prayers coming your way. Please, do what the doctor says. I know from personal experience that if you don't, it can get worse.

Ouch. Knees are painful. Take it easy, and enjoy your idle time - and tell your son it's payback time!

Thanks everyone, I managed to be able to get to a computer for a short while today and was very touched by all the wonderful words and prayers. Fortunately, I do crochet, but only two types of stitches and I needle felt. I found that I can drive on Vicadin but don't advise it. Boy that is fun stuff!!!!

I'm sorry you fell. I'm sending healing vibes your way. Just tell your son it is good karma to help Mom, one day he could be in your position...time has a way of sneaking up on you.

My middle son could not wait to move out and be on his own...5 years later, he calls me 10 times a day, comes over all the time (worse than when he lived here) but I rarely have to ask for his help with anything....he volunteers...he even went out and bought a new chainsaw for cutting wood...he didn't like the way mine cut and he leaves it here!
