Talking New baby!

But it's a lamb! A friend called me this morning, his ewe had twins last night and rejected the ram, did I want it? He has goats but he doesn't milk them.

So, I have a little Barbados lamb in my lap. He's had 8 oz of milk from a bottle, and several slurps from my Golden Retriever, who had pups 10 days ago. I think he's gonna survive!

I don't know how cold it is where you are but it's bitterly cold here and my barn's kinda dark. I don't really want to drag an itty bitty lamb outside in this weather! (Besides I had to go out for a few hours )

He's doing well - scared me this morning, because there wasn't a peep out of him when I went in the barn. Last night, in the dark, he was squawking when I got about five feet from the door. Anyway, he was fast asleep in the back corner of his crate, and didn't wake up until I poked him. He was up pretty quick looking for his bottle after that!

I think I might name him "Baa Baa Leroy Brown".
