Help, my doe....

I need help. I am not sure what is going on with my doe. I have been watching and waiting on gretta to kid, and yesterday I noticed my spanish doe Nana had some discharge also. This isnt a plug, I dont think, it is amber colored with a bit of blood. I do know she was pastured with a buck, and udder has grown. It isnt full and tight but much bigger than before. I am curious, could she be aborting?
I know she has given birth two or three times before, and always had a single. I did feel and her ligaments are there. Could she just be getting ready to kid?
Thanks,

Is she doing anything else different...digging, getting up and down, eating less? Anything strange?

No really nothing new. She seems her friendly self. Maybe a tad more vocal. And maybe a tad hungrier. Other than that no classic signs of kidding.
Do does in heat have that color discharge? I never saw her have a white discharge like Gretta did when loosing her plug. This stuff started yesterday. Same small amount. I know when I got her she has next to no udder and it has grown into what you see. I dont know for how long she was with that buck, but she has been here about 2 months.
I wish I had more info. I just would like to know what that discharge is.

my Nubian typically has a little discharge about once a week before kidding...it's not always white either sometimes a little amber color.
In the 3rd pic it almost looks like Gretta could be having mild contractions as in kids getting ready for position? but I could be wrong.

I'm really guessing....heat or preggo symptoms. Is she wagging her tail a lot? Mine do that when they are in heat.

I have seen this before in my bread does.I dont know if its a trimester thing or what, but I felt the same way you did scary at first but all was well.
I would watch her to make sure the buck isnt riding her or she is getting butted around. That is what I suspected with mine.

She isnt wagging her tail any more than usual. I dont have a buck at my house. The buck was at the previous owners. Can they have amber colored discharge when in heat?
I noticed what you mean, goat servant, when you say looks like a mild contraction, I didnt notice it before but since you mentioned it. I went ahead and shaved her udder area and she has a decent little bag. She is just a spanish/ brush goat so she wont get a huge udder but like grettas its not tight.
Thanks for yalls help. I appreciate it.

I've had does with discharge anywhere from one month bred all the way up to kidding. Her bag doesn't seem that big but hard to tell...count from the last day you KNOW she was with a buck and that might give you the outside date for a kid. Is she up to date on shots, bo-se, etc.? From her profile, she LOOKS pregnant to me, for what thats worth.

Thanks again for the help. Were your does also having this color of discharge? This is the first I have seen of this since she has been here, about 2 months.
I did go out and shave her to get a better look at her udder, able to watch it better.

I'm pretty experienced in this and I don't think she is that close. I see that her tail bone is prominant and that she is developing some udder, but I would expect to see more milk in the udder as well as more sinking in in the flank.

It's hard to be sure from pictures, but my guess is she's a few days to a few weeks out.

Awww, thanks for asking!

Nana is still having minor discharge. She still has a small udder.

Gretta is starting to loose her plug again but this time there is much more of it and it is very sticky. I shaved her tail as it was very messy.
I am also concerned because Gretta has had loose poop off and on over the last few days. I gave her the B vit. She is eating and drinking fine. Acting normal.
I am curious could it be from getting close to kidding and this being her first time?

She looks really close! I don't know why she would have loose stool. Has she eaten anything different? Maybe a dose of probios or yogurt would be good for her. Be sure to worm her after she kids. I hope it's soon...I know you have been waiting a LONG time

I was also thinking of the probios. I will try it.
She hasnt eaten anything new and the other goats are fine. I am baffled.
I hope she kids soon too, she seems uncomfortable now.
I hope for twin does.
