Hoarse buck

My Nubian buck is hoarse. He tries to holler, but no sound comes out except the sound of air passing through his throat. He has no cough, is eating well, and was dewormed recently. Any thoughts on this or what could be causing it?

Just a blessing, I think I've heard Nubians can be a bit.....vocal? No seriously, I wish I knew.

Yes, all my does are very vocal. I just want to be sure he's ok. Maybe it's because we're still in breeding season and he's just hollered himself out.

That is what my guess would be....Maybe take his temp to be on the safe side that there isn't something else going on.

I don't know of many Nubian bucks who have full voices like does do. None of my bucks hollar, they squeak. Someone hollaring out in the buck pen means an emergency here, kind of like when we had so many LaMancha's.....Nubian does making noise is common, Lamancha's.... get out to the barn and see what is wrong. My nubian wethers scream HELP WE'RE STARVING TO DEATH!!! whenever they see me or anyone else. You can hear them for hundreds of feet.
