Gladys is in heat....

and she's driving her barn-mate, (our other doe, Ruthie) crazy!!!! She is constantly trying to mount Ruthie, sniffing her rear end, sidling up to her, etc. This is the first heat I've noticed with either of the does; they'll both be a year old at the end of this month.
Ruthie is quite vocal in her displeasure toward Gladys' advances. I'm assuming I just let them "work it out", right? Everything I've read says heat only lasts a few days, maximum.

My goat is a sleaze bag too, I wondered how I was going to tell if she was in heat, well it would be hard not to notice, she is like a cat in heat. She drives her barn mate crazy too .

Count yourself lucky.......at least you can tell when she is in! They will be fine. She should be back to normal within a day or so.

LOL at the replies. Even if Gladys wasn't "acting" like she was in heat, her back end tells the WHOLE story
