Your goats are with your chickens?! I want to do that! Spoke to the zoning commission today about the requirements for keeping animals on the property we're trying to get, they say EVERYTHING has to have a minimum fenced area. I'd love to be able to put the goats and chickens together and create more usable space for both instead of separate fencing for each. Do you have any problems with the goats and chickens being together? Any precautions that need to be taken? (Sorry for hijacking, but I was just talking about this an hour ago with my husband.)

Your pictures are great! Thanks for sharing.

hehe no problem we have 5 acres and we buy 330 feet of fencing every paycheck and square off a section, we still have a ways to go before we get it all fenced in tho, the chickens sleep in the shed in teh picture, and the leantoo on the back is for the goats, you can see an old shower stall there that i have fitted up for the goats as well, its well lined with hay, the only problem i've had is the goats want to eat the chicken's corn i put out on the ground every evening, as you can see in the pic that is what they are eating off of the ground silly goat, soooo i started feeding the chickens outside of the fenced in area, other than that no problem, make sure tho that if you are going to put them together that the goats cannot get into the chicken feed, Billy (goat in the fist pic) almost tore up my shed the other day he pryed open the door with them horns!!!
