Size of Boer Bucks

How large do boer bucks usually get? A neighbor has one as big as some calves, that buck must be close to 300 pounds.

A few Boer bucks get even larger than that! On average, I would say 250 - 275 lbs. by age of 4 years. 1-2 year old buck 225 lbs. is very common.

Any larger than that, it can be difficult to get does bred - they just collapse under all that weight (and of course, young does need a young buck for that reason!)

Thank you for the information, I knew they got fairly large but didn't know they got to that size.
