LOL! That reminds me of the day I turned into the driveway and saw (from a distance) what looked like my dear little Butternut stretched out on his side, perfectly still, in the driving rain. I was on the phone with my best friend at the time, and all she heard was "oh my God, oh noooo!" and then a click as I hung up on her.
I jolted and jounced across the field in my car, jumped out in my work clothes and heels, and ran closer just to find the goaties safe and dry in the barn. "Butternut" was a tub of hay that the boys had been stirring around, and it looked like a big golden lump.
Boy, did I feel like a nut.
