doe with a cold

She is a soon to be yearling, just standing there shaking like she's frozen and she has a runny nose, with clear drainage.

I gave her 3 mL of Immune support tincture from Molly's herbals and put her in a straw hut. Anything else I should do? I don't want to give antibiotics unless I have to but will if I have to.

Its really cold right now, but she has shown no signs of this until just this morning. I want to save her, she is very beautiful. Her name is Valentine. Born, of course, on Valentine's day.

What is her temp? Is she drinking, eating, peeing, pooping, normally? These are just some questions that others will need the answers to in order to help you.

As Dragonchick said, we do need more info. How big is she? You need to give 1ml per 10lbs of Molly's IST three times a day. With the weather we are having here, you want to make sure she has plenty of hay to to eat to help keep her warm. I would also give her really warm water to drink as well.

I have a 9 month old doeling who acts otherwise perfectly normal except for a bit of clear nasal discharge/drip. I figured it was just the weather and she is fine. My nose runs too in the cold.

a lot of time a runny nose can be from vit a deficiency.
does she has good hay available? this should keep her rumen working and make her warm.
i would take her temperature just to make sure she has no fever or sub-temp and something going on.

sorry

Sorry I didn't get back on her sooner folks, but everything is okay. My little doe is fine. She started eating and moving around right after that dose of IST and is fine. She was just a little listless and FIASCO farms site said just the IST and she would be fine, and she was! Gotta order more though, but they are on vacation until the 18th. I'm going to get my order put in so they can fill it and send it right out. I DO NOT want to be without that stuff!

Amazing stuff isn't it?! I would still give her at least one dose per day for a few more days just as a boost.

yes!

It really is! I want to get her formula. I'm studying essential oils and want to make my own, as I am running out but will order at least 1 more bottle from her. I figure if I'm going to have all of the ingredients, I might just as well make my own, right? I'm making my own Vicks now! LOLOL

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but a friend of mine tried that and it just didn't work as well. I used two bottles of my friends (she used the same ingredients but I guess the amounts must have been different) and I just didn't get the same fast results I do with Molly's.

I understand

However, I am going to see if Molly will help with it a little bit. I'm not intending to sell it to anyone, I just want it for me. She might help me and she might not. If not, I totally understand, but I do want to try. Its for human consumption as well, so I'll probably experiment on myself with it. We'll see. If I feel like jumping over the moon, hey, terrific! I'll probably drink the whole bottle! LOLOL
