Goats getting horse grain.

I currently feed just alfal pellets, boss, hay. and when there milking dairy pellets.
My hose just passed on and I have left over Safe choice by Nutrena. Its a carb safe grain..I am wondering if I can use it when my girls give milk again?

Protein 14%
Not sure what other ingredients would be a factor?

I'm not familiar with that product. If it does not contain any urea which is toxic to goats, you should be able to feed it as part of your grain mix. I know most horse feeds contain molasses, so I wouldn't use alot of it in your mix.

I have used horse feeds on occaision- they have copper in them and some of the senior mixes are good for elderly goats to easily digest.

I have fed horse feed to my goats on many occassions. They seem to do well with it and like it. Of course, when available in my area I prefer to use goat chow, but sometimes I have no choice.

I feed my goat a mix of all grain and whatever else I have. I think if you mixed it with your regular ration it would be fine. I feed my horses and goats together.
