He takes his friends on hunts and they do shoot some of them...the biggest. There are hunting limits so they end up taking a lot of pictures. This one was 140 pounds. Not sure if he was let go or not. He has a pack of lion hunting dogs that help track the cats. He's doing this in our area and when I ask if it was close to me he always tells me it's within the cat's radius.

I've really only seen one on my property and it was painfully close.

I get pictures from Dave just about every week.

You make me glad that I do not live in the mountains. That and all the snow you recently got. I still feel like we are living on the frozen tundra right now and I could make an igloo out of the buck's and dog's water buckets freezings.
I like mountain lions but not in my backyard.

Came in to defrost my toes and found these previous pictures Dave sent me.

They are beautiful animals....but I also prefer to see them elsewhere.

OMG! Doesn't he have any fear?! The shooting I would do would certinly not be with a camera....(shudders). It is a shame they are so harmful to flocks, they sure are beautiful critters.

No, they tamed it by scratching behind it's ears, look how sweet he is.

Just kidding.

Sure gives a sense of how huge they are!

Well, I hadn't thought of tranqs, sorry! LOL! I know I sure as heck wouldn't hug one unless I knew it was dead!

They look too pretty to shoot. But if there was one coming after any of my babies I wouldn't give it a second thought!

Housecats are very cruel to their prey, the idea of one that big is quite unsettling.
