First New Arrivals of the Season (Pic)
Well my DD and I were off to do some Christmas Shopping for my DW and I looked at the goats in the pasture and I saw our Boer X doe with liquid dripping. Well I slam the van to a stop and sure enough her water broke, 2 days early of the what we thought would be the eariest she would have them. She is a first time mom and seems to be doing great.
Well, we now how 2 little cuties (1 doeling and 1 buckling) on the verge of one of the coldest nights so far this winter (now realize this is Florida and the 47 degrees predicted is really cold for us). So I arranged a spot in the barn and hooked up 2 heat lamps (the ones I use when brooding chicks), that should keep Momma and babies warm.
The Daddy is a friends Lamancha Buck.
Any here is there picture:
The buckling is the one with the skunk stripe on it's head.
