Awesome little donkey

We have a few new baby goats. Today a 24 hr old kid managed to get out of his stall and got outside. I have yet to pen up the cow since the babies are young and not outside yet, so I thought. Well I heard the female mini donkey yelling, she usually only does that when there is hay being put out. So I went out to find the kid under her feet. At first I thought she was causing trouble but realized that as the kid moved so did she. She was protecting the kid from the cow till I got there. Carrots for her today.

That is such an awesome story. I have a donkey and would love for her to behave that way. Time will tell, as much as I love her the way she is, so far she seems like she'd be more aggravted at the sight of something new rather than protective. You have an awesome donk!
