I think I ruined my first lgd

I got my first lgd about a week ago, you couldnt touch him, he was scared of everything, so I couldnt just turn him out with the goats, Im not going to have a dog I cant touch.
Well I believe its backfired on me, but as soon as he gets a bit bigger not to be able to fit between the electric wire hes going out to live with the goats, or at least thats my intentions.
I think I ruined my first lgd - Goats

Ahhh....too cute. My husband insisted we keep ours outside but I admit he found himself inside more than a few times. Once my husband went fishing and I thought I had a couple clear hours but he walked in and Gabby was inside. The motor broke on the boat and I was so busted. He's no worse for the love and now settled in with the goats and taking his job seriously.

I just have to jump in here and say that my Pyr's are friendly pets inside, but outside they are all business. The male is the best with the goats. He stays right with the doe but far enough back so he isn't invading her space. When the delivery is over, he helps clean up the kids, watches over the first born while the next is coming, etc. He's an excellent goat mommy. The male is the only one who refuses to come in the house. He'll come to the door, but that's it. The females come in and ask to be petted, brushed, and babied. LOL

Cant blame ya none, what a handsome feller! But the sooner you get him out working the better; when he was a pup mine refused to come in the house. He chewed on everything, he dug holes, left honkin logs..peed a quart when we picked him up after being fixed...he still digs, he still jumps on me sometimes but when being moved has to sit between doorways or fences...these Anatolians have minds of their own and can be quite stubborn.
Sure hope you can train yours to come when called!! And not think it's play time.
He really is a beautiful little guy, congrats!

the first thing that happend was great when i put him with the goats, he went up to one of my new kids and licked it on the chin, then momma came and bowled him over and he now wont go near the goats. I picked him because all three pups where terrified but even though he was scared he was trying to lick and comfort the other two.

I socialize mine and I have 4 LGD's and now 6 puppies . Mine will come when called and my grandsons can go out to see the goats and the dogs love them. My females are great when the does are kidding as my males didnt care about it. Mine are very protective as they run with the goats and the 2 females stay with them . 1 takes them wehre they are going and 1 stays behind to make sure noone is left. Mia stays outside the pens when its time to come in till all are in. Beauty hasnt been going as much with the new pups, but she still goes for a little while. My males stay in with the bucks and they are Great there. They know their job and do it well. Beauty is the more agressive when it comes to strangers. Mia is the backup. Champ and Max only let us in with the buck and are very big males and intimidating wher people dont want in there either. I love all of them and they are just fluff to me, but when the goats are out they know what to do.
Get him out with them alot and its just a pecking order the goats will do but he needs to know his place is with them. Mine still will get butted sometimes but they can run better from the goats...
