Large stomach on nursing goat

Two kids were born Nov 3. The mother's stomach is really big....almost like she is still PG. Is this normal? This is our first time "kidding".

Thanks!

This is how my Toggenburg did, she was just milking well and eating a lot to produce all that milk.

You don't say what breed she is. I know with some Boer does, they still can look pregnant after they kid.

the size of the belly is determined more by the rumen than anything. generally big is good. what you thought you saw as pregnant goat was probably just the way she looks pregg or not.

Is this still ok??

Those kids are really REALLY cute! Congrats to you. Make sure you worm mama goat as stated above. The clumpy poop means she ate something she wasn't used to or too much of something. If it's still like that tomorrow I would give her some probios

oh, and CJB....I don't know what to say about you anymore your still in the doghouse
