What do you think about my goat....?

I've seen a lot of people posting pictures and asking what you think of their goat. Well....I have one for you.....ha ha!

This is Izzy (Isabella)....When I bought her she was a beautiful young doe. She still has beautiful fleece but her horns grew outwards and I tried superglueing tennis balls to the ends but that didn't last long. Hubby hasn't gotten around to using the sawsall to get the ends cut. She has the most obnoxious voice you have ever heard which makes everyone laugh. She's always complaining. She's a (turkey) when it comes to feeding time. A real piggy. So..I called her name while she was trying to eat and she turned around and I snapped this picture. I think it really shows off her personality.

I know she should be a cull but she makes me laugh.

I edited out the "b" word and called her a "turkey". We're pretty particular about language on here.

I finally figured it out....isn't she a mess! I wish I could post audio. She's a constant complainer and talk about loud! She was such a good mom and I'll try and find pictures back then. Her baby used to sit up on her back all the time. He's the one who got dunked in the water.

Goats are so funny, aren't they! The luster on the mohair looks incredible!

You are just mental!

(Although I remember spending most of my pregnancies with my tongue stuck out in consternation, or was that concentration???)

No....she's not pregnant. I took that picture just before Fall shearing. She hasn't been around the buck. Guess you are right...my opinion shouldn't count anymore.

YOUR opinion counts for sure...it's CJB who has no opinion that counts because of his tricking and teasing the goat ladies

That's a great picture! I'd say she's deffinatly a keeper.

On a side note, you'd mentioned trying to put tennis balls on her horns...
If you're interesed in losing her horns, check out this link. We used this method on one of your does and it worked like a charm.

I see it didn't hyperlink, but this is the sight...
This is definatly the time of year to do this proceedure. Just be prepared for her to bawl for a day... Good luck

We were going to sawzall off a bit at a time but in the end not taking off too much. I heard, and correct me if I'm wrong, that it is important for Angora's to have horns because that's how they regulate their temperature. I just wanted to take off enough so she wasn't a hazard to the other goats...and us!

She's pretty. I have a friend who raises both Nubians and Angoras. She disbuds all the kids, regardless of breed. She should hang out with my cat, Maia. Sounds like they're quite alike in the complaining department.

Thanks! She is quite something. Has more character than almost all of my goats combined.
