drying off question

With the big move this summer, and some other overly stressful events, one of my high producing milkers decreased in her milk amounts alot. plus, (stress Im sure) I dont like how thin she is, so I decided to dry her off early, before the real cold sets in so she can put on some weight. It has been difficult to say the least. at this point, I dont believe she is producing any more milk, but she is not reabsorbing whats there either. how long is this supposed to take? its been a couple weeks at least.

should I milk her out, or leave her be? shes not uncomfortable, her udder is only probably 2/3 full, but how long is it ok for that milk to sit in there?
