If you use teat tape you need to make sure there are no wrinkles in the teats. I have placed it on 1 side and then down and then up again. Dont fold the teat. Its a bad habit if they get started and not to hard to break. I have had does do this after kidding to remove the plug. Some dont stop and some do. Some do it out of boredom also and just becomes a hanit. Also if the pressure is great when trying to dry up a doe she can start it also.
Some use tape and others use what you call a Elizabethan collar to prevent her from getting to her teats. It looks funny but works also. Some use apple bitters too or something like it they dont like.
