Oh boy! WHat a diet!

I brought home 3 new goats yesterday that needed a home. Of course I fall for it and let them come home with me. DH and I was talking to the owners and asked them what they were feeding them and she said.....chicken scratch horse feed, and pig feed....thats not it......hamburger, steak, ravioli, etc....they fed them whatever they had on hand. I just about hit the floor. They look pretty good even on that awful diet. So now I have them on alfalfa hay. They were loved...but almost loved to death!

Its amazing what some folks will feed.........I once bought two beautiful Pygmies who had been on nothing but dogfood.....
If I were you I would find some grass hay and pull those goats back off of alfalfa. Alfalfa is rich and may shock their systems. Slowly ease them into alfalfa......
